Summer has arrived! What a excellent time to visit the Bonnycastle Club. This time last year we had come out of COVID restrictions. Members started returning to the Club, that trend continues and the great news is we have not had a out-break at the Bonnycastle since we lifted restrictions. Will, Pauly, Josh, Kimberlie and John Campbell are here to make the best drinks in Louisville just for YOU!
The House committee is working hard to make upgrades to the ZIP ROOM. We are well on the way in the design phase and work has started on the ceiling. Lighting has been updated to LED recessed, new paddle fans installed and the elimination of the mis-placed halogen hanging fixtures. I’m sure this question will arise, how is the work being paid for? With donations from our Members, by way of adding money to the Dues statement. If you would like to donate, please let me know as we can only move forward as money allows.
In the kitchen, we have a new policy starting this month. In order to control inventories and cost we will consolidate all food purchases. The Club will ask all cooking teams to provide a full list of items needed, to provide the highest level of meals, the Club will do all the shopping. This way we avoid duplication of products and free up the volunteer cooking teams to spend less time shopping and more time preparing great meals.
Speaking of meals we have several meals planned in June, $5 Basket Meal(6/10), Team Stone Wing Night(6/15), Fish Dinner Team Handy (6/24). Plus two Thirsty Thursday’s (6/2) and (6/23). We serve great meals at the Bonnycastle and the price is right, Come on Down!
The Activities Committee has developed a new JUNE event “WINE DOWN WEDNESDAY” $1.00 OFF GLASSES OF WINE ALL DAY. Give it a try, I think you’ll love our selection of Wine and again the prices are by far the best in town.
The Bonnycastle Cocktail Club meets for the second time on June 29th, 7PM. Come try a new Cocktail and learn how it’s created.
