For those of you not on Facebook or who seldom check it, I would encourage you to use this feature. While we do send out weekly emails and Mark and I both write monthly reports, many pop-up events or daily activities can be found on Facebook. We don’t want you to miss a single event! And events there are! September is brimming with activity. Be sure to keep up to date. For events requiring reservations, we ask that you please pay at the time of your reservation, either by cash or credit card. If you are unable to pay upon making your reservation, please be sure to pay before entering the event.
A big thanks to all of you who have been so patient and supporting of the club while our kitchen has been down. We have had many avenues we had to go down the last month and a half, beginning with insurance adjusters and settlements, electrical work, drywall, painting, and floor removal & installation. Although of major importance to us, we are not exempt from contractor scheduling, staff shortages, and supply delays. Having been through several club renovations and one complete rebuilding, I know there are many who say, “we should have…,” “we could…,” or supply any number of ideas. I can assure you though, ALL individuals who have worked so hard on this project have given 110% effort to seeing that it is done right, in a premium quality way, and in a fiscally responsible manner. We will be back in our kitchen by September 15th, if not earlier. Our long overdue electrical work in our storeroom and office is completed. Our new first aid kit will be installed on the back wall by the back restroom between the Zip Room and kitchen. We are waiting on the Red Cross for scheduling of our staff first aid and CPR classes and will let you know when these are completed.
The surveys we mentioned last month will probably now go out in late October. Hopefully we will get a good response to these and some great input as we move the club forward.
In closing, let me say thank you to all of you for not only your support of the club, but for your kindness and support to me as your manager the last five months. We’ve got a great club and a great group of staff and members. Thanks again.
