St. Patrick’s Day Parade returns March 11th. Start the day with Irish Stew at 11AM, Annual Toast at Noon, followed by a Club photo at 12:15. We will depart the Club at 1PM for the Parade, 3PM Parade start time. Afterward the Bonnycastle Club is prepared for a full night of eating and Celebrating into the night. The Committee has been planning for months, the Everybody Loves Bacon Food Truck, Shirts, Irish Stew, Irish Whiskey, Guinness Stout (it will be like St. James’s Gate) and live music. You will have a good time, we look forward to seeing you at some point during the day!

On the business side of things, we are still looking at every expense and ways to reduce our overall cost. Unfortunately in February we had several maintenance items that had to be corrected, including the Locker Room Urinals Flush Valve(s), Front Door Repair, a Beer Cooler overall, New TV over the Bar and added Recycle Bins. We have a committee looking at the TV’s throughout the Club, the goal is to reduce the number of providers, synchronize the picture and sound on all TV’s in the Club for major events, reduce our monthly cost while maintaining most of the Channels we watch.

Cost continue to rise, expenses for February are up $4,000, including an increase of $500 for LG&E. Food cost are up across the board, paper products, cooking oil, everything it takes to produce a meal. Our cooking teams will continue to provide the Great meals we are used to eating!

Lots of fun events happening in March besides St. Patrick’s Day. Dartball will crown a Champion on the 8th, and hold their Banquet on the 15th. Blessing of the Keg and Thirsty Thursday on March 9th at 6:30, NCAA basketball starts on the 14th, Music Bingo at 7pm on the 21st, Chicken Dinner on the 26th. I encourage you to visit the Club often, Will, Pauly and Josh will be here pouring the best drinks in Louisville everyday!
