In 2014 the Bonnycastle Club welcomed Chris Whigham and Shannon Whigham. Both brought a high level of energy to the Club by being involved in almost every Club Activity. Soon Chris would take over the functions of the Activities Committee. Since that time Chris and Shannon have created so many Club events, and all of us have had so much fun! After eight years of serving the Club, Chris informed me earlier this month that he would be stepping down from his position on the Activities Committee. Chris and Shannon will still be around the Club and I am sure will be involved in many things. Please let Chris and Shannon know how much they are appreciated, and thank them for all the hours and hours they have put in to make sure everyone has a great time at the Bonnycastle Club. Thank you, Chris and Shannon!
Moving forward we will have several Members, along with John Campbell taking over the planning and scheduling of events. Room Reservations should be directed to John at this point. If you have questions about upcoming events please reach out to me.
On August 20th, John Campbell arranged a tour of Cave Hill Cemetery, for the 30 or so Members that attended what a great tour! John and I have been talking about arranging more activities outside the Club. Some of the ideas include a trip to French Lick, group trips to ballgames, Center for the Arts and Bourbon Distillery tours.
As we move into fall and football season, with Chris Whigham’s expert help we have installed the NFL package at the Club. All NFL games will be available this season! If you have a game you’d like to watch remember the Bonnycastle is your NFL watch location. If you’d like to have a Team Watch, the ZIP Room is perfect!

Reminder that the Annual Golf Tournament is Thursday September 14th, cost is $85 per golfer, includes green fees, Cart, Dinner at the Club sponsored by the Fish House and Member Dave Hilsenrad and many Door Prizes. Enter your team at the Bar with any of the Bartenders. Proceeds will be donated to the Bonnycastle Foundation and distributed later this year to a local charity.
